Today we have more news for you again:

Cheers to our donors and supporters We are very happy that the amount of donations has increased after our last call for contributions. Unlike other ad-blocker plugins that generate millions in profit from the advertising industry - and still call for donations, eBlocker is a purely idealistic non-profit project run by volunteers. In fact, we can only keep up our altruistic project thanks to great donors and supporters. Therefore, we are very proud of you, dear supporters. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your important help - also in the name of all users that eBlocker protects for free!

eBlocker engagement is headline of DEVK We are equally proud about the headline published in July on the website of German insurance company DEVK. With their sponsorship of the new feature "Online Time", DEVK especially underlines their strong commitment to protect younger surfers. What many don't know: Only thanks to the continuous support of DEVK we were able to cover the ongoing costs for the further development of our project since the launch in 2020 at all and continue until today. Our very special thanks therefore go to DEVK!

eBlockerOS alpha with IPv6 runs stable There is also good news from the development: The alpha version eBlockerOS 2.11 for Virtual Machines, which was released in June, runs absolutely stable. We have been testing this version for almost two months and are improving it continuously. A mixed operation of IPv4 and IPv6 devices is possible without any problems and all core features work smoothly. However, not all functions, such as full support for Trusted Apps, are implemented for IPv6 at the current state. The public release of the beta version is therefore still planned for the fall of 2023, and we are confident that we will be able to work through the open items by then. If you urgently need IPv6 support today, you should take a look at eBlockerOS 2.11 alpha version and test it jointly with us.

Better availability of Raspberry Pis The chip crisis that has been around since the Corona pandemic and the associated poor availability of Raspberry Pi mini computers seems to be slowly coming to an end. The portal rpilocator.com lists various suppliers in Germany and all over the world which stock Raspberry Pis again at moderate prices. For those who don't run eBlockerOS on a Raspi yet, it is now possible to start at a reasonable price. We recommend using a Raspberry Pi 4 with 2GB for eBlockerOS. More RAM is not necessary at the moment, but of course it won't hurt for the future either 😉
