Hello Newsletter Subscriber,

We have some news for you again this summer:

A big thank you for your donations
First of all, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our last newsletter appeal for donations and supported our project. 🫂 A very special thank you goes to a major donor who even supported us with €500. That was simply a great surprise that helped us a lot 🙏🙏👍

In total, we raised almost €2,000 to close the funding gap and keep eBlocker running. But the "summer dry spell" is unfortunately not over yet and we are still looking forward to donations to cover the increased costs for our non-profit project.

Improved login form
We have significantly revised and improved the login form on eblocker.org (thanks @Random). Even if you don't have an eBlocker account, you can now easily log in with just your donor email address to manage your donations.
Users with an existing account can log in as before to both participate in the forum and manage their donations. Thanks to the harmonized login form, accessing eBlocker.org is now even easier: with and without an account.

eBlockerOS 4: Progress with Linux migration
We are also continuing to work on the Linux migration to Debian Bookworm for eBlockerOS 4, which we already discussed in the last newsletter. Although we are still facing a few challenges, we are confident that we will overcome them in the coming weeks. As we have to test the new system very thoroughly before the release, the completion of eBlockerOS 4 will probably take until late fall. With the new release we will also support the Raspberry Pi 5 and offer a simple migration option for users of the eBlocker White Cube.

By the way: The White Cubes – just like all other eBlocker devices – will of course continue to run as normal even after the end of support for Debian Buster (June 30, 2024). There are currently no known security risks. However, the future belongs to Bookworm and we can only get faster here if more developers join us.

Support from developers
Would you like to volunteer as a developer with us and fight for a free Internet? Then send us an email to voluntary@eblocker.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

Even if you're not a developer, you can help us a lot if you talk about eBlocker and its advantages on social media or in your circle of friends, for example. Every new user helps us to operate eBlocker in the long term.

We are highly motivated and determined to drive eBlocker forward. Thank you for accompanying and supporting us on this journey!

Best regards
Boris, Christian and the entire eBlocker team
