Today we would like to share some news about the further development of eBlocker with you.

License server modernization
|
The eBlocker license server ensures all donors receive their license keys for daily updates and automatically renew them. Even though the server is very stable, it is time to switch to the latest technologies and update the system. The work is currently in progress and will be completed shortly. At the same time, we are also automating server maintenance in order to reduce manual maintenance work in the future.

In parallel, we are working on the implementation of eBlockerOS 4 (including support for Raspi 5). We are making good progress and are already testing the new CoreDNS server with eBlocker supporters. So far, the new DNS server is running without any problems. However, a lot of further development work is still necessary for the final release.

Developers for eBlockerOS 4 wanted
|
Unfortunately, we are still lacking developers to complete all open issues by the end of the year. Without additional support, we expect that we will unfortunately not be able to release eBlockerOS 4 until the first quarter of 2025.
|

Updated youth protection blocking lists
|
|
In cooperation with the Federal Agency for the Protection of Children and Young People, we have updated the youth protection blocking lists - as we do every month. The update is already available via automatic updates for all eBlockers. If you have not activated automatic updates, we recommend updating manually as soon as possible to protect young surfers in the most effective way.
|
Incidentally, we even update the blocking filters against trackers, advertising and malware on a daily basis to ensure the best possible protection.
