Hello Newsletter Subscriber,

Today we would like to inform you about exciting news again:

eBlockerOS VM-Edition released
Now, eBlockerOS is also available as VM-Edition. This means that eBlockerOS can run in a virtual machine on practically any computer without using a Raspberry Pi. This version is primarily intended for technically experienced users and it is not relevant if you already have an eBlocker in use. All details about the VM edition and its installation can be found in the new blog article eBlockerOS for Virtual Machine.

White cube revitalization - eMMC attrition?
A few white cube users reported a problem with the cube not starting after the 2.9 update. We fear the cause is a hardware failure in the built-in eMMC memory (similar to an SD card/SSD). This is probably a fatigue effect that all devices will unfortunately experience in the medium term as the devices are more than five years old and in permanent use. The error presumably occurs more frequently when lots of data is written and the memory chips get very hot, as it's the case during updates, for instance.
However, the eMMC can be revitalized with a trick (Thanks @CalimerO for the "revitalization service"👍) - but this probably lasts only for a short time. For a longer-term solution, we recommend either switching the white cube to an SD card or rather changing to a more powerful Raspberry Pi 4 right away.

CyberNews interview published
Without marketing and PR budget, it is extremely difficult for us to make eBlocker better known. Hence, it is great when users report about eBlocker via word-of-mouth and journalists via articles. With this in mind, we are very happy about the interview with Christian, the co-founder of eBlocker, just published on cybernews.com. Thanks so much, dear CyberNews.com team!

Sharing of "trusted apps" well received
Published with eBlockerOS Release 2.9, the feature to share self-defined trusted apps with us is very well received. Many thanks to all users who contributed by sharing their apps to improve eBlocker for the whole community. You are awesome! Currently we are still improving the process of integration and approval of trusted apps, so we will be faster in the future.

More contributors wanted
An open source project like eBlocker primarily lives from the involvement of the community. Therefore we again would like to invite - especially software developers - to join us. There are no obligations and everyone chooses the topics and the time commitment by himself. But also marketers and everyone who wants to help spreading the eBlocker idea, we invite again. We are a cool, professional team - and it is a lot of fun working for the protection of everyone's privacy. Interested? Then just drop us an email at voluntary@eBlocker.org. We're very much looking forward to welcoming you!

Sunny greetings from tropical Hamburg 😉
Boris, Christian & the whole eBlocker team
