Hello Newsletter Subscriber,
After not sending out a newsletter in February, we have a lot to report again today:
Finances 2022 and Current Status
Thanks to your donations right at the beginning of the year, we were able to close the funding gap to break even in 2022. 1000 thanks for that🙏
Unfortunately, however, donations are currently stagnating - while costs are rising. This probably means a deficit in the small four-digit range for March. Nevertheless, we are in good spirits to possibly receive sponsorship soon and hope that the generally challenging economic situation will not hold back even more donors from supporting our non-profit project. In any case we are happy about every contribution to keep eBlocker running and continue development:

IPv6 Implementation Status
After unexpectedly many technical challenges, we have now published a blog article summarizing the current IPv6 implementation status. A lot has been done, but there are still some issues to be solved before the release.
We would like to point out again that IPv6 support only helps users who cannot disable IPv6 on their router. All other users have no advantage of IPv6! On the contrary: we recommend to stick to IPv4 for better privacy protection, because individual devices/users in the home network cannot be identified using IPv4. Please read more in our blog post.

Trusted Apps from the Community
We are excited about the great support with Trusted Apps submitted by the community. Since we take quality assurance very seriously and want to avoid accidentally unblocking trackers or other unwanted domains, we do extensive manual review of every Trusted App submitted. Especially our teammates @fluffy, @johann0815 and @valentin did a great job here. Thank you very much for that! ❤
The good news: By mid-February we had processed almost all submissions, adding over 180 new Trusted Apps to the eBlocker Standard. These Trusted Apps are marked with (#eBlocker Community) in the description and are already fully usable (Settings> HTTPS> Trusted Apps).
Thanks so much to all submitters for the great help, from which all users benefit a lot. You guys are really top notch! 👍

Mastodon, Social Media & Co
Our followers on Mastodon have grown to more than 70 by now - even though we have only shared very few toots so far. Great! Unfortunately, neither Mastodon, nor forums or other social media channels are really in our communication focus. We simply don't have the time and personnel resources to continuously communicate on all media.
Do you enjoy writing on social media, for our blog or in forums? Then please get in touch with us: voluntary@eblocker.org - we're really looking forward to welcoming you. 😎

Warm greetings from Hamburg
