Hello

I am still using the old Cube, and I am glad that it is still being maintained. I have already converted an Apple Mini and a Fujitsu SSF via USB to eBlocker 3.2.3 for friends. I would also like to do this with version 4, hence my question:

When will version 4.x be available for download as an image for USB/PC/MAC?

sorry for the delay, lift gets in the way sometimes.

using standard mode in Eblocker worked until the device was rebooted which I am guessing is due to the dhcp settings from the UNIFI pointing to the blocker itself.

I changed it back to expert mode and did a quick trace, traffic goes all the way to the Eblocker. The return traffic I couldn’t see much.

I’ve gone down the best practice route and setup an individual VLAN for the webserver with a different vlan ID, subnet etc and this has resolved the issue completely.

My dhcp settings for my internal network all points to the Eblocker and has been running fine for several weeks now.

BTW: A traceroute is done in less than a minute. Not sure what holds you back for weeks now?

If 1&1 is blocking the OpenVPN default port (1194 UDP) you can simply change the port eBlockerOS is using during the eBlocker Mobile setup. If you use a port that is not blocked, OpenVPN probably works as good as Wireguard does. (Make sure to forward that port to your eBlocker, of course.)

By the way: Wireguard is using 51820 UDP by default and you could try this port (even network nerds like @random will kill me for this hint 😉).

Personally I'd not use a mobile provider blocking VPN ports at all. This is a very bad "service". 👎

My grandma always said "If you buy cheap, you buy twice". That's why I'd suggest to pay the extra dime to get good service from a professional phone company not giving you a VPN headache... 🤷
