Just use Expert mode (in settings>network) and you can set the ip range, lease time and other details.

BTW „Expert‘s needs“: if you want eBlocker’s DHCP to always set the same IP to a device: Select device under settings>devices, choose device, check „Always assign the same IP address to this device“.

For a specific client IP: set client to desired fixed IP, let eBlocker rescan network (under settings>devices tab Device Discovery), check switch as described above. Finally you can set client to use DHCP again. Easy 😉 😎

Usually experts are covered well with eBlocker’s DHCP but please let us know if you have more requirements.

@alexsuff No need to change DHCP if you can set eBlocker‘s (fixed) IP as Gateway in your DHCP or set in manually in the client.

BUT I definitely recommend using eBlocker‘s DHCP if you are not a network expert. The advantage is that it‘s easy and frictionless as eBlocker scans your network first and sets existing client IPs to the same value. So even fixed IP clients always get the same IP via eBlocker‘s DHCP.

Tech background (for the geeks): Automatic network mode will trigger ARP responses to be set in each client‘s ARP table. Under very rare circumstances this can result in a sporadic package drop due to individual timings of the clients. With TCP the dropped package gets resent automatically. Using UDP (which is the case for most streaming services) the package will not be resent - and depending on the steaming app the whole stream may be interrupted. This also explains why Mac acts differently than other clients.

first of all thank you for the eBlocker. Keep it up!

I have a problem for which I have not yet found a solution.

When I listen to internet radio, for example via Bose Soundbar 700, Radio.de iOS APP, the stream starts and ends after a short time.
Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after a few seconds.

I had the same problem with my HomePod in the beginning, but I was able to fix it by adding a site to the trusted sites.

Unfortunately, I can't find the appropriate exception for the app of Radio.de on the iPhone, as well as for my Bose Soundbar 700.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

eBlocker version: 2.4.5

actual blocker list

FritzBox 7590

eBlocker: the white cube ;-)

I am grateful for any idea.

Thank you in advance,
