# Where can I find block lists on the Internet?

## eBlocker curated lists

eBlocker already provides**curated and integrated pattern and domain blocker list**, which are updated daily. These blocker lists are chosen for a good balance between protection and convenience, so most websites and services still work.

For higher tracker protection we also provide the **[DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar pattern blocker](https://eblocker.org/en/docs/duckduckgo-tracker-radar-blocker/)**, which will cause some websites and services to break. Use with care!

#### Recommendation

Generally it is**not recommended** to add additional list. Additional list will mostly result in websites, apps and services to break - but not improve privacy at all. Please note that adding more blocker list will usually not help more!

Please add lists with great care and try**not to use domain lists** as they will cause over-blocking in most cases. Pattern list in easylist format are the much better choice as they block individual „bad URLs“ but not the whole domain.

In any case: Make sure you know what you are doing and don‘t add lists blindly.

## Additional lists

There are many block lists available in the Internet, but most are not well maintained. The following two websites offer a broad collection of block lists.

On [https://filterlists.com/](https://filterlists.com/) you can find a lot of filter lists. Here you can for example search for "**AdBlock**" lists, which you can import into the eBlocker Pattern Blocker. Make sure that you select the "**easylist**" format for such lists.

At [https://firebog.net/](https://firebog.net/) you will find mainly **domain** and**etc.hosts** lists. Always pay attention to the beginning of the lists. If you find an IP address at the beginning (127.0.0.1 or for example 0.0.0.0), it is an etc.hosts list.
