# With a VPN app you do not see an eBlocker icon.

Most VPN providers also offer you an app to start the VPN connection or refer to a third-party app. If you are using an app instead of the eBlocker to establish a VPN connection, you will not be able to see the eBlocker icon in your browser because such apps direct the network traffic directly to the VPN server and thus bypass the eBlocker.
