Right at the beginning of the year we have important news for you:
|
As announced in the December newsletter, we have released the latest version 2.10 of eBlockerOS in the night of January 04, 2023. All eBlockers with activated daily updates have already received the version. Highlights of this maintenance release are numerous small improvements: For example, the eBlocker Mobile connection test works reliably after the eBlocker Mobile setup and eBlocker Mobile runs continuously and stable even after an eBlocker restart. The number of blocked trackers is now displayed correctly in the eBlocker ControlBar and icon again. In addition, we have further improved the security and updated the device identifiers used for cloaking. Please find all details in the release notes.

Balance 2021 and Weak Finances 2022
|
Even as a non-profit project, we are required to properly account for all income and costs and to prepare an annual balance sheet. Despite time challenges with our tax consultancy, we were able to prepare the balance sheet for 2021(!) still in time for the end of the year. It will also be available shortly on the official German portal www.bundesanzeiger.de for those interested. Similar to previous year, we have again reported a small operating loss of around 130 €. We are thus operating as a "non-profit" in the truest sense of the word.

But at the same time this means that we have no margin for activities like marketing or PR campaigns to let eBlocker grow faster, because all income is used exclusively for operations and further development.
|
The bad news: In 2022, revenues have unfortunately stagnated, but our costs have increased and a larger deficit in the small four-digit range is unfortunately foreseeable for the balance sheet 2022.
|
|
We would love to continue running eBlocker, but we can't personally bear losses in the long run either. Therefore, we are really happy about any donation or involvement in our project. Our passion to continue eBlocker is still undiminished and we would like to invite all users - even those who have already donated - to support us again today:
