Why donate?

eBlocker is an investor-independent non-profit project to protect your privacy, run by volunteers. Currently operating costs are about 5,000€ per month. There is no hidden business model, no advertising revenue and no data trading. With a minimum donation of only 5€ monthly (billed annually) we can cover the operating costs. Thus, the future operation is ensured. We are also very happy about higher amounts so that we can develop eBlocker faster with freelancers. All donations will exclusively support the project. In gratitude for your donation, you will receive a license key for automatic, daily updates by email. Note: Key requires eBlockerOS 2.7 or higher.

Daily Updates

Daily updates include curated and licensed filters to block ads, trackers, and malware. Additionally, your children will be protected via youth protection filters from the German Federal Review Board for Media Harmful to Minors (BPjM), among others. At the same time, you automatically receive all security updates and new features as soon as they are released.
With no extra effort, you’ll be automatically protected from new threats. You can view and change your annual recurring donation at any time via Paypal or our website. Thank you so much for your support!

Why only annual billing?

Payment processing is very expensive for us as a small organization. From a 5€ donation we receive only 2.85€. This is due to fixed charges per transaction of around 0.50€ for bank/Paypal/Stripe and 1.50€ booking costs as well as 3% payment processing fee being deducted from each payment. By monthly donations with 12 * 5€ we only get 34.20€ after deduction of transaction costs. With 1 * 60€ remain however 56.20€. So we get +22€ more for financing the project. By the way: In addition, another 19% VAT from every donation is transferred to the German tax office. Only anonymous donations (without license key!) are exempt from VAT deduction.
