After a longer "sending break" we want to inform you about many news today:

eBlockerOS 2.9 in internal test
|
For the next eBlockerOS version we have made a lots of improvements "under the hood", which we are currently testing in our supporter team. Among them are improvements for the eBlocker Doctor, the Auto Trust App (see also our survey), an optimized recognition of the EasyList blocking rules and the import and export of the eBlocker certificate to migrate to a new device more easily. If no unforeseen problems occur, we will release eBlockerOS 2.9 probably at the end of April. Then we will inform you in detail about all new features via newsletter and blog.

All new features that we have released in 2021 carry the beta status - even though we are not aware of any bugs at the moment. All features are running stable and we have deliberately chosen the beta status to invite users trying out the new features and giving us feedback. So please use valuable features like the Personal Device Firewall, the Auto Trust App or the Video Ad Blocker and don't let the "beta status" discourage you. In case something doesn't work as expected, feel free to contact us in the forum - we're looking forward to it!

Video Ad-Blocker for YouTube stable
|
In particular, we would like to invite you once again to put the Video Ad-Blocker (beta 😉) into operation. This runs without problems as long as the native YouTube app is not used on any device and the Trusted App for YouTube is disabled in eBlocker. With eBlockerOS 2.9 we will introduce more improvements here, so using a native YouTube app will also work without issues in the future.

Website optimizations and eBlocker installation video

We have updated the eBlocker website technically as well as revised many contents. We are especially proud of our new eBlocker installation video, that we developed in a very short time. It shows how easy anyone can assemble an eBlocker in a few minutes. Thanks @Simon for the awesome effort!

Attention: No warning if automatic updates are terminated
|
|
As a gratitude for a donation to cover the operating costs, donors will receive a license key so that their eBlocker will update automatically daily. Due to a technical challenge, there is currently no warning notice when this license key expires - and you are no longer fully protected as a result.
|
|
Important: All users who canceled their recurring donation, please make sure to renew the license no later than 12 months after the initial donation by making another donation. If in doubt, please check the email with the last donation confirmation. Unfortunately we have no technical way to check this manually for you.
|
The good news: All users who have not cancelled their recurring annual donation do not need to do anything, because the system will automatically renew the license at the end of the term.
|
