The Auto Trust App (ATA) is a feature to improve compatibility with native apps. It automatically recognizes the domains needed to be trusted (within eBlocker) so the native app works properly.
We are planning to release this feature from beta status and enable it by default in future. Before we do so, we'd love to hear your voice and feedback about the current state.
Please feel free to add comments about your individual experience (ie. where you are facing problems).
Thanks very much for your contribution!
While it does work sometimes, it unfortunately fails as well.
This also results in usability issues:
- If the Auto Trust App features fails you don't think about the eblocker being the fault and initially blame the app.
- I had this issue with frameo, an app to share images with remotely connected photo frame. The app only showed that i could not send the image (as the photo frame seems to be offline)
- The same issue trapped me with GoToMeeting in the past with working video but not working audio.
In these cases you might think the fault is the app. Therefore it needs some time to remember to switch off eblocker...
I voted for "Satisfied (it work)", but I also have similar comments than Julius:
While it works most of the time, there is no feedback if it fails and I will need to remember that eblocker could be the cause of the failure.
Hi, i have issues at " www.freenet.de ", the login for E-Mail only works when i disable eBlocker. I can find the domain in Settings > HTTP > Trusted Websites > Auto Trust App (beta)
how can i get the login on "www.freenet.de" working without Pausing eBlocker?
I voted it doesn‘t work well with me… I had lots of adds of a sudden on my Ipad… (not really looked into that) so it‘s not really fact based.
@julius Do you in the meanwhile have found how to make the Frame app working with eBlocker as a trusted app? Here today at an iOS 17.2.1 with an eBlocker 3.0.1 it wont work even it is enabled as a trusted app. Only when I disable eBlocker for my device with the installed app it will make a connection to the servers it needs for a proper functionality.
@facebita: sorry, but i have not looked into this topic any further
