[Solved] How to debug over-/underblocking via HTTPS

Hi @robfranssen-fr,

there is a way to find out whether eBlocker with HTTPS enabled has blocked or allowed certain requests (e.g. to ad servers).

  • Go in the Settings to Blocker / Analysis Tool and select your device (e.g. your iPad)
  • Make sure that the switch "Simulate Blocking" is disabled
  • Click Record
  • Load/reload the page to analyze in the browser
  • Click Refresh

Now you can see the requests that eBlocker received via HTTP(S) in the table.

If the decision is BLOCK, the request was blocked. Otherwise (PASS or NO_DECISION) it passed.

For example, I tried the above on liveonlineradio.net with the result in the screenshot. Two requests to Google were blocked. There were no Google ads on the page.
