Hi,
Does anybody know, and has experience with, the DNS servers of AhaDNS?
And if so, should or shouldn’t this server be included in the list of recommended servers for use in eBlocker?
Rob
This is a regular DNS service for blocking certain domains fully - and not a good combo with eBlocker. All external „blocking DNS“ will see all your visited domains and can only block the whole domain for your entire network.
With eBlocker all blocking is local (=no external DNS seeing your all your requests) and protection is URL pattern based (so just gooddomain.com/badurl.php will be filtered). In addition protection is per device individual.
To sum up: step back from all those blocking DNS as eBlocker does the job in a much more sophisticated, comfortable and privacy respecting manner.

Just a quick question about this:
Why does Eblocker recommend 9.9.9.9 as dns server? The Quad9 service also filters and blocks requests.
Where is the difference or demarcation?
@johann0815 Ahadns blocks ads and much more, where users have more contol about using eBlocker.
Quad-9 just blocks security risks and does not censor: https://www.theregister.com/2017/11/20/quad9_secure_private_dns_resolver/
Personally I can not image anyone who wants security risks in the network. But I can image many users who want ads on device A when accessing website B (which is impossible with ahadns) to make the site work... (ie. bild.de)
THX!
