[edit: @wsch I've run your German post thru deepl.com as the forum is in English only. Your auto-translated post follows.]

Aggressive advertising by the company Corel. I have tried all adblockers in Firefox without success. Normally I would have expected the eBlocker to protect me. Unfortunately, these annoying ads keep popping up with a window regarding a certificate. No matter whether I accept or reject it without success. The certificate comes from Google.

Please help

Greetings

Unfortunately, these annoying ads keep popping up with a window regarding a certificate.

This sounds like the eBlocker Certificate is not correctly installed on your client. Please follow the instructions: https://eblocker.org/en/docs/storing-the-eblocker-certificate/

Make sure to follow each step for your client OS closely.

To verify if the certificate is installed correctly, please run the Function Test in the Dashboard. All tests need to show green check marks.

In case you are rather looking for support in German, please check out the German board here: https://eblocker.org/community/announcements/inofficial-private-german-forum-launched-via-discord/#post-6143

@wsch I just heard from my colleague taking care of the office emails, that you were able to install the certificate successfully after following the documentation closely. Perfect👍

As eBlocker is a community project it would be great if you could point us to what you've missed initially, so we can improve the documentation for other users.

THX!

I did not mention that i had to open Firefox, open the settings - open privacy - to surrender allowances - show allowances - Import. The download i did before on the dashboard side.

Hope i described with simple words so somebody else has not my problems.

@wsch Thanks for your feedback.

If I get you right, you didn't use the HTTPS Install Wizard in the Dashboard, but you thought downloading the certificate is already enough (without installing it). Interesting!

Maybe we need to "force" users to use the wizard and eliminate the direct certificate download? 🤔 This will certainly help novices but on the other hand this will also annoy professionals knowing what to do. Difficult to draw a line.

At the very end I can only conclude what my boss always says: "RTFM and try to follow closely for a solution..." 😉

THX!
