Hi
I use Firefox with some add-ons, eg. Unlock origin and DoNotTrack. How does this play with eblocker? Does it interfere? I read that this could cause issues. Which ones?
This question can not be answered generally for „all“ plugins but I‘ll try my best.
If your plugins block the eBlocker code that‘s inserted in each page to show the icon it might not being shown/work correctly. If you have plugins/tools intercepting SSL traffic they might interfere with eBlocker so eBlocker can not analyze the traffic. etc.
Wasn‘t it you who had issues even with http due to plugin conflicts? Then you got the answer already.
Seriously, if you are not an expert and know what you do: disable your plugins and let eBlocker handle everything. That‘s what it‘s made for.
Real world example: Of course despite all security measures in a car (like airbags, safty belt, auto. breaks, etc) there might be people wearing an extra helmet and fire suite (=plugins) all times, too. This helps if you have a high risk profile and know what you do (Rally / racing drivers) but for the regular driver the standard (=eBlocker) works just great especially in a risk vs. convenience comparison.
