iPad with OS 14.0.1; white cube with OS 2.4.9; FAZ.NET-app latest available version.

iPad is on ‘Pattern Blocker’ with ONLY the eBlocker Ad-, Tracker- and Malware-lists.

App says “Inhalt konnte nicht aktualisiert werden”; otherwise everything works fine.

Question: How can i find out (within any of the eBlocker-interfaces) which blockade prevents the FAZ-update from happening so that i can include it in the Dashboard’s Tracker and Ads section? (adding faz.de didn’t help)

Grz, Rob

I can not reproduce the issue. All content seems to load fine. Don't get any errors. Can you please state step by step how to reproduce. Or is this with the paid version only (I've not paid 😉)

Anyhow, I did a recording of SSL-errors (https>manual recording) when using the app. Seriously - the faz.net app is the tracking pest. Incredible how many trackers they use. I would definitely stay away from the app and rather use the website only.

Nevertheless, there are a few domains you might want to add as a trusted app (but I'm just guessing as I don't get any errors):

media0.faz.net
media1.faz.net
dynamic.faz.net
static.faz.net

To add, go to settings>https>trusted apps>new app definition. Paste the above domains in the field "disable eBlocker for https...". Then retry.

THX!

@random

Thank you Random for your advice; i should have known better:

- make (better) use of the ‘manual recording’-facility

- i can live without the FAZ.NET-app; it’s very messy indeed

In short: i removed the app, increased my confidence in eBlocker and stay relaxed
