Since my eBlocker 2.4.5 orange pi is not available from time to time and therefore DHCP and GW are not available at my site, there is no Internet and Co 🙁
After a manual restart it works again.
I have now deactivated all filter lists and only run with the standard filters.
If the problems still occur I will have to throw the eBlocker completely off the net.
I would like to have a system overview on the eBlocker, where you can see the load of CPU, memory, SD Card etc.
It would also be good if you could see the services that are important for the eBlocker with CPU and memory usage.
And for the case that the web interface does not want more, a SSH access would be good.
Greetings,
Oliver

So, unfortunately, I will now throw the eBlocker from the net. There are a lot of things I can't surf. Especially FB doesn't work, but that's important because I have to/will maintain data for SupportYourLocal there. 🙁
Can you create a diagnose report and attach it to this thread?
Maybe we find the issue in there.
Regards
Sven
Just activate FB as „Trusted App“ under HTTPS and it should work fine.
Nevertheless your problems sound like a memory issue we need to look at. DiAg would be great. Pease post to support [at] eblocker.org as it might contain details about sites visited...
THX!
@all: We are coming up with an update of the underlying Linux soon.
By the way, I have the same problem since 2.4 with an Raspi 3b+
I have to disconnect from power to fix it. Its minimum once a week. Very disappointing.
Please create in eBlocker Einstellungen -> System -> Diagnose the Diagnosebericht and extract the files to a temp folder.
Then look into the syslog.log for problems like
"Mar 18 00:29:32 eblocker kernel: [731963.088007] rpi_firmware_get_throttled: 1 callbacks suppressed
Mar 18 00:29:32 eblocker kernel: [731963.088017] Voltage normalised (0x00000000)
Mar 18 00:32:02 eblocker kernel: [732112.848522] Under-voltage detected! (0x00050005)"
This is what I have, and my Raspi 3 is also hanging from time to time and after unplugging and replugging power supply the Raspi is working fine again for a period of time.
-> Power supply or power cabling issue
Kind regards
Sven
The report seems to be since last restart. So nothing like that is inside the log.
@webtom
Ok, so check this log from time to time, to see, if there is something wrong with power supply.
Can you check th eblocker-status.log for the section "Redis events:" and post them here?
And maybe attach the journal_catalog.log for analysing.
Thanks and kind regards
Sven
It would be helpful if you could send the full diag report to support (at) eblocker.org. Then we can take a closer look and hopefully get it fixed for the next update.
So far we have received no reports and this will unfortunately result in no fixes as we have no idea what the cause might be. Seems only very few devices are affected - and all ours are working just fine...
THX.
Ok, but inside the logs are too much information I don't like to share.
I am waiting for the Raspi 4 release of eBlocker. Unfortunately it was postponed again. New schedule is now begin of April.
It's like at the doctor's: If you feel not to let the doc diagnose the cause, there will be no cure. But at least hope is left 😉
@webtom
If you anonymize the content you don't want to share, you still can share the logs if you want 🙂
Cheers
Sven
