Hi

I have activated 2.5.4 on my white cube. I use ipad and iPhone and wonder how I could see which trackers are blocked when I use an app? I can see the amount increasing in the dashboard but I would like to see which trackers have been blocked and if possible which dns requests were opened. Is there a way? This way I could add URLs to block.

@gregor:

you can see the top 25 domains, in the dashboard in the blocked statistics overall.

But you do not need to block them anywhere else, as this could stop the sites working.

Regards

I don’t want some sites to work.

i would want full control of every connection going out.

as in AdGuard pro on my iPhone or little snitch on Mac

i want to see all connections going out and if blocked or not

@gregor Two possibilities:

  1. Describe your wishes clearly as feature request in the corresponding forum so a talented dev might take it from there.
  2. Stick with your loved tools and stop using eBlocker.

Seriously, it‘s not helpful to complain all times (see your other trillion of threads). If you feel like contributing, please do so - but in a constructive way, please!

THX!

@random if this is the way you want to treat donators, go ahead.

If asking many questions because I am not as smart and as techie as you are and because I am curious and eventually want to help as well is a problem, fair enough. I will keep my mouth shut. I am giving presentations on privacy etc. and would want to offer a tool for the home for easy usage. Protectli with pfsense is too difficult for most people, eblocker would be a good solution. But in order to convince people to get it, I have to be convinced.

1. I have complained a bit but mostly asked questions to understand eblocker better and use it better so it has a better effect on my privacy. Particularly the combinations with add-ons and other tools like little snitch were of interest. I would love to disable them when in my home, as I have described in my post. Eblocker would be good for that.

2. I have mentioned various times that I like the idea behind eblocker and that I believe you are doing a good job. And I have been a supporter a paid for the box.

3. I wrote a lengthy email yesterday in the requests forum about what else I would like to see in eblocker. I mentioned other tools because they can better show what I would like to see than I can do it. I was not sure if you are aware of them or not and hence I mentioned them.

@gregor "No one has an ugly baby" - is what they say in the US.

Please understand that eBlocker is also @random's "baby". So if you feel like criticizing his baby constantly and pointing to other babies you feel look better, this might rise some irritation with the parents. And that's what we got here from my perspective.

Nevertheless, I kindly ask the two of you to step back. Please put the target of improving eBlocker in focus and rather stop your personal issues. That's not helpful for anyone.

Thanks much.
