I made a clean install of macOS Catalina. Since then I can't connect the eBlocker (Family) anymore.

With setup.eblocker.com the orange icon is missing.

192.168.2.120:3000/dashboard/#!/app/main
The Dahboard doesn't connect (Connection is established ... without end):
The website is not available
The answer of 192.168.2.120 took too long.

192.168.2.120:3000/settings/#!/login
The website is not available
The answer of 192.168.2.120 took too long.

I have no idea why I can't get a connection. The firewall isn't activated, and I haven't installed any other security apps.

At the eBlockers LAN port both LEDs flash, the orange one every second, the green one irregularly. Is that correct?

I need help to find the error, has anybody an idea? How I can connect the eBlocker?

I guess your "new" install does not yet have the eBlocker's certificate, but your device is configured to use https in eBlocker.

Try "http://eblocker.box" to get to the dashboard. NOT https, which will fail as the certificate is not yet installed.

If that does not work, try http://192.168.2.120:3000 (HTTP is important here too)

If that does not work, try a different device in your home and check if you can get to eBlocker settings. There disable https for your mac and reinstall the certificate using the wizard.

If you run into certificate related issues please check the headline of this forum "Mac and iOS users please read this article in case of certificate issues."

http://eblocker.box
http://192.168.2.120:3000/
Unfortunately none of these tips work, Desktop and Mobile: Safari / Chrome can't load the page. The answer of 192.168.2.120 took too long.

Must the eBlocker be enabled for Catalina?

Certificate? Which certificate? HTTPS is not activated, I only had problems from the beginning, that never worked with multiple devices (Family) in my house. Therefore no certificate is installed / active, after the change to Catalina.

What about the LED diodes. What they must look like if the device works technically correct. How, if not?

I miss the eBlocker, the permanent location tracking in online shops, the ads in YT, ... please help!

Hi,

that is the problem, you can't reach your eBlocker in your network, so you can't open the configuration site from your eblocker.

Your PC can reach your network (PING your router IP) ?

What router do you use (FritzBox)?

Can you reach your router website?

Do you change the IP-Adress of eBlocker manually or normal configuration with dhcp ?

The ping in net works:

PING 192.168.2.1 (192.168.2.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.2.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.489 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.2.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.561 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.2.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.645 ms

--- 192.168.2.1 ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.417/0.566/0.684/0.081 ms

My Router:
FRITZ!Box 7590

The router is accessible, also other devices in the network:
Yes (Willkommen bei Ihrer FRITZ!Box)

IP address:
The IP address of the eBlocker was not changed

1. Power off your eBlocker

2. Then go to the FritzBox and remove the Address entry of the eBlocker !

3. Power on eBlocker

4. Is in your Fritzbox an new entry for eBlocker? If yes, can you PING it?

good luck

wow – that works 🙂
There is a new entry in the FritzBox with the same IP address, and Ping gives positive feedback. I can access dashboard and settings!

PING 192.168.2.120 (192.168.2.120): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.2.21: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.075 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.2.21: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.062 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.2.21: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.085 ms

This is great. Now I have to check if the filters I added manually, is there actually a list (!?), are still there. But that's another matter. First of all, many thanks for your help!

Great ....

Study the manual and Tims videos on Vimeo. Give you enough time.

It is a great product and open source!
