With a Fritzbox 7490 Firmware 7.21 you can block the internet access for a device.
If you lock your own device, the internet access will still be available if the eBlocker is activated.
The eBlocker has to be deactivated first to make the internet blocker effective.
Is that ok (from the point of view of the eBlocker)?

This is „how TCP/IP works“ and it.‘s intended 😉
To give you the basics: eBlocker „sits“ (IP-routing wise) in between your device and the router.
Device->eBlocker->Fritz->Internet
So your fritz gets all traffic from eBocker not the individual devices. If you disable your device in fritz it has no effect as all it‘s traffic is routed via eBlocker.
If you disable eBlocker for the device the device sends traffic to router directly. Device->Fritz. Then fritz can be used for blocking the device.
I’m not sure about you requirements. What I would suggest is to use eBlocker’s parental controls to block all domains for a device: add a new user to eBlocker, add new profile to block all domans, assign device(s) to user. Done.
Alternatively you can simply assign all devices to be blocked to one user and then block Internet access for this user from eBlocker Dashboard.
THX!
Hi diko,
look at this page:

Here you can see how eBlocker is working...
I hope you enjoy this great tool. 🤩
