Hi,
I have a Problem with the HTTPS Certificate on an iPad Pro (2. Gen.) running with iPadOS 13.5.1, not on an iPad Pro (4. Gen) running with iPadOS 13.5.1, not on a Mac mini and an iMac running with macOS 10.15.5 Catalina. The HTTPS Certificate in all cases is the same and correctly installed.
The eBlocker App is running on both iPads: iPad Pro (2. Gen.) and iPad Pro (4. Gen). On the iPad Pro (2. Gen.) the App says, the Certificate is not correctly loaded (this is wrong) and on the iPad Pro (4. Gen) the App tells me this is a Mac with macOS 10.15.5 Catalina. So the App will a command D! by loading the Dashboard.
The Problem is: Dashboard on the iPad is using the App directly and on the Mac indirectly via Safari.
And the new iPad Pro (4. Gen) with iPadOS 13.5.1will be handled by the eBlocker like a Mac with macOS 10.15.5 Catalina.
I hope you can fix it!
Best Regard, BI
iPad Pro (4. Gen) with iPadOS 13.5.1will be handled by the eBlocker like a Mac with macOS 10.15.5 Catalina.
I‘m not sure what you mean (I‘m on Win). What error are you getting?
You‘ve probably checked https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/https-certificate-mac-os-catalina-and-ios-13/#post-12
If you are on eOS 2.4.x please download & install 2.5.
If you are on 2.5 and issue continues. Pls describe step by step how to reproduce. Maybe share screenshot of error.
THX!
The Dashboard is showing on the iPad Pro (2. Gen) the Message: eBlocker Certificate not yet added!
But the Certificate ist correctly added and installed! Like on the other iPad Pro (4. Gen) and also on the Mac mini and the iMac. It is a new 2 Year Certificate for all Systems. eBlocker is 2.4.5 on a "white Box".
On the iPad Pro (4.Gen) I get a Welcome to eBlocker Dashboard Message (because the eBlocker means the iPad Pro is a Mac with Catalina and this is wrong). The Certificate is working on the iPad correctly! This means, the Certificate will work also on the other iPad but there the eBlocker tells: Not yet added!
On the iPad (2. Gen) I can download the Certificate. I can install it and the eblocker is telling, it has not been added. This is wrong! It is added and it is instant correctly. No idea why? The certificate is on both iPads the same! No difference! Nothing else! The eBlocker App is not getting the correct Information of the Certificate Installation.

@liberty-bit If I understand you right you are not experiencing any issues while using eOS but just the eBlocker App is showing the wrong status of the installed cert.
So we are talking about an issue with the eBlocker App (but not the eOS). Is that correct?
Unfortunately we do not have all the iPad models at hand to verify the cause but we'll definitely add that to the todo list after eOS 2.5 has been released for the white cubes.
THX very much for letting us know!
es! It must be a little bug in the App on iPadOS! Maybe in the Dashboard functionality. The older iPad Pro (2. Gen) will be identified as an iPad. The new iPad Pro (4. Gen) will be identified as Mac. The new one works! The old one not! the iPadOS is the same version. And on the new one I get the Welcome to eBlocker Dashboard message and on the old one not. Your right! It must be a little Bug in the App.
Have you enabled certificate trust for your certificate in the certificate trust settings?
You can find it in „Settings => General => Info => Certificate Trust Settings

THHN
On the new iPad (eBlocker means this is a Mac) it was set by eBlocker
As a security measure Apple does not allow automatic setting of certificate trust. This is always a manual task unfortunately. But we‘ve improved instructions for iPad that you may have missed at the first place.
Now, back to the described eBlocker App issue: is this fixed with setting cert trust?
THX!
@liberty-bit Are you still experiencing issues with the eBlocker App or has this been solved after you trusted eBlocker's cert on the iPad Pro as suggested by @thhn ?
I'd like to close this issue if it's gone - or investigate further if its still troublesome.
THX!
The Problem with the Certificate is solved! 😉 THANKS!
The Problem that eBlocker means my iPad 4. Gen. with iOS is a MAC with macOS is pending! 😉
