Hi there,
I have set up all devices (some with parental control). Unfortunately I habe lost or misspelled my Admin password. All password recovery trials ending like following:
1. On the "Enter password" section I choose "Forgot Password"
2. Next dialog is asking for a reset of the eblocker. Message says that the browser window will appear again after rebooting.
3. After rebooting NOTHING happens in the browser. After refresh of the page it will return to the "Enter password" section from 1.
Since I do not want to setup my 2 years used eblocker with many additional filter lists again - Can someone help me or have an idea? I can not get to the settings without a pw reset.
Thanks and best regards

To my knowledge, there is a well defined process (using a wizard) of disconnecting eBlocker from power etc. to reset password.
Did you follow the process WORD BY WORD & STEP BY STEP?
@random Hi Random, thanks for your reply. Sorry for late response.
I have tried the wizard many times step by step - one time eblocker connected to my router and again connected directly to my PC via LAN.
As described in my initial post it always went back to the admin pw section.
Do you have any idea?
Best regards and stay healthy
Thomas
Actually I have no clue why the password reset does not work. This has been tested quite well... - but you never know...
If you want to try it again, the only hint I have is that timing is crucial. So all timings from the wizard need to be followed exactly. There is no shortcut!!
If all fails there is a trick to bring the eBlocker back to factory settings (but this way you'll loose all setting that have not been saved):
Hardware factory reset: German English
Hope this helps.
To my knowledge eBlocker needs always to be attached to the network/router/switch.
Of course unless the wizard says something different (which I'm not aware of as I've never used the wizard - and don't want to reset my password now to verify).
Hi all and especially @random
thanks for the help. It seems my firefox blocked the incoming *ping* or whatever keep the password recovery process alive.
Solution: Installed Iridium browser without any add ons and accepted the "insecure-warning occuring using http://...
Password recovered and saved my day.
Thanks @random
Best regards
