Hello,
it would be great if more function can be added to filter email spam from own SMTP mailboxes.
There are already some projects that deal with this, but they are often complex and require Linux knowledge.
It should be possible to enter your own mailboxes via UI, which are then automatically filtered for spam.
@ploard Thanks very much for your contribution.
I agree email SPAM can be an issue and there are many tools out there to fight this. For instance, I use Thunderbird with integrated SPAM filters working nicely after some training.
To my knowledge, today eBlocker‘s core is an extension (ICAP server) for a web-proxy (squid) filtering outbound HTTP/S requests. This is technically very different to filtering emails. So we can not build on the existing technology at all.
Nevertheless, maybe you can point us to your favorite anti-SPAM linux project to get a better idea.
THX!
