Time delay

Would it be possible to add a time delay to (say) the Parental controls?

If I want to block say porn and social media and whatnot I use the Parental controls. However since I set up the eblocker and have the password etc - it is trivial to unblock.

So adding a time-delay would stop impulsive unblocking on my part.

The idea is executed quite well in this plugin: removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener">plucki

However that is a browser plugin.  Similar functionality in eblocker would be fantastic.

I‘m not sure if I understand you correctly (as the forum software removes all links in the first posts - to avoid forum SPAM - sorry, nothing personal 😉).

Have you found a „trivial“ way to „unblock“ the eBlocker without admin password?

Or do you rather want eBlocker control/restrict/delay the eBlocker admin login as kind of „super parent“ for adults?

THX!

@random

Yeah no worries, spam is a pain.

Yes - rather like a super-parent.

If you look at

     removed link

that will give a good idea what I'm talking about.

It's actually a really good idea plucki.

Most getting distracted is impulsive - you get bored, you look at your email/check social media etc etc

Which detracts from focusing on work.

I can block all internet trivia with eblocker  - but its easy to feed in my pass and watch Youtube instead of working.

With a time delay - there is a built-in lag between the impulse to slack off and the actual slacking off. End result - you stay on task.

Thanks

👍 Interesting approach! Thanks very much.

Unfortunately we have no influence on the link removal thing. You might want to add the URL again like "domain dot com slash xyz slash" This will not be recognized as a link...😉

THX!
