Hi, I'm trying to set up my eblocker box again after several months of inactivity (eblocker box was disconnected and in the meanwhile I installed a new router: Fritzbox 7590).

After connecting (and for sure waiting enough time) and typing http://setup.eblocker.com only the welcome page (Willkommen bei eBlocker) but not the icon appears.

Router and eBlocker box have been restarted several times.

eBlocker appears with an internal IP address in the Fritzbox Dashboard.

- IP address/dashboard shows an ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

- IP address:3000 shows the following:
eBlocker main process started on port 3000.
Database stopped: Could not get a resource from the pool

- Emergency IP address 169.254.94.109:3000 brings the same.

What am I doing wrong? Does anybody have hints for me?

You might want to check the repair script from this thread:

https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/manual-update-necessary/#post-474

Good luck.

THX!

I tried the repair script but with the same result.

When I tracert www.eblocker.com then the first IP address is the one of my Fritzbox. I guess this is correct, isn't it?

Any further ideas?

Thx in advance

@jojoerggmx-de If you still get „databased stopped“ I would not expect eBlocker to run properly.

You might rather want to reinstall using SD card and the new eOS 2.5 image.

Sorry, I have no better idea at the moment.

Yes I still get the same messages.

So I will try using SD card. Is this explained somewhere? The eBlocker box doesn't have a slot.

@jojoerggmx-de Btw. The „database stopped“ error is usually due to the fact that an older update didn‘t finish properly. So after a reinstall you might want to give your eBlocker a while to update itself (wait for one hour in worst case). Stay patient - it‘s just a small hardware doing a lot of stuff...

To reinstall check https://eblocker.org/community/announcements/banana-pi-m2-eblockeros-2-5-image-available/

If you are serious about protecting your privacy at full Internet speed I‘d personally rather recommend an upgrade to a Raspi 4: 100Mbit/s incl. https and all blockers is what to expect...

The reinstallation did it. Thanx!

And I ordered a Raspi 4 with 4GB. So the next installation will come soon
