Hello
I become always Database stopped: restoring backups failed what take it wrong?
Thx
Hello,
I have same problem
Hello,
after you have installed eBlocker (without restoring the database) is it working?
When you restore the database it stops, ... is the backup from an older version of eBlocker?
New EBlocker Version has a new database version 🧐

edit: 16.1.2020
My setting is a RP2 (with the latest rpi-update as of 10.1.2020) with a 16GB SDHC Class10 Transcend card (the one with rainbow colors on it).
ill try with a 32 GB card this weekend.
Hi all with that Problem, please edit you Post and add the information what Hardware you use RPI2, RPI3, RPI3+, BPIM2 or BPIM2+ and how big you sd card is.
I can confirm, that the Image eBlocker-2.0.11-raspberry-pi.img.gz works on Raspberry Pi 3
I can confirm, that the Image eBlocker-2.2.15-banana-pi-m2.img.gz works on Banana Pi M2
I use raspberry pi V2 and i got still same error
Hi @obi-wan ,
how big is the SD card?
Hi @syronas and @stormtec500 please reply what PI Version you try to install the eblocker and how big you SD Card is.
Hi Christian @benne ,
as some users may have problems installing eblocker on the Pi2, it would be good if you test and check this in detail again at the version 2.0.11.
Unfortunately I do not have a Pi2 anymore, otherwise I would have checked it.
Thanks and Regards,
Oliver
Hello,
for me it sounds like a problem with the used SD-Cards. Maybe they are defect, so a try with other cards and sizes could help here.

@sven78gmx-de
I will try another sdcard with 16 gb.
@sven78gmx-de
i have now installed on 16 gb sd card on rpi 2 and i got still same error
Are someone have successfully installed 2.0.11 at a Pi2?
The eBlocker Team must take a look to the 2.0.11 image and must checkt/test what the problem the Pi2 have with it.
I will install eblocker now on PI3. i believe there is a error in image for PI2
I've ordered an old Pi2, so that I can test this tomorrow.
can someone try with 8 gb sd card ?
I'll do that test tomorrow with the Pi2 and an 8GB SD Card
Hi,
I tested Pi2 and P3 with Intenso Sandisk 8GB Class10 SD-Card it work fine.
At this time my eBlocker works on an PI2 with SanDisk 8GB Class10. 👍
I hope this helps 🙂

@all: I'd recommend a raspi 3 at least for eBlockerOS. For those I'd use these images: https://eblocker.github.io/help/en-us/download.html to avoid updates that can take up to 30min.
Theoretically images should work on older models too, but in future I doubt anyone really wants to maintain code for these old devices as thru-put is really poor (100Mbit interface only! = 20-30Mbit max).
Serious eBlocker users should use current hardware 😉
Beginner question:
Hi
which image for Raspberry PI 3 Model B V 1.2 ?
Raspberry Pi 2 und 3 (eBlocker-2.0.11-raspberry-pi.img.gz)
Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (eBlocker-2.0.9-raspberry-pi-bplus.img.gz)
thanks wally
Hi wally,
use this image:
Raspberry Pi 2 und 3 (eBlocker-2.0.11-raspberry-pi.img.gz)
👍

during the startup off eblocker it will get an dynamic ip address from your router.
Look that your eblocker has internet access. After the first Update/Aktualisierung you will get this
Version: 2.4.5

Hello,
after installation of eBlocker on the SD-card (32 GB, Class 10) and intial start of the Raspi 3 B+ the initialisation runs. But then appears the message "eBlocker login:"
I do not have any eBlocker login data and there is no description about this.
From where can i get the login data?
Hello Random,
thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately your answer is very short and not clearly for me.
I interpret it as follows.
Ethernet shold be connected (was done).
No connection via keyboard and monitor (was done), but only ssh connection.
Is this correct?
The only F-Manual i know is from the original E-Blocker:
https://www.eblocker.com/wp-content/uploads/manual/DE/User_Manual_eBlocker_DE.pdf
But i do not find a hint for my problem.
Do you mean an other F-Manual?
This is not helpful for my problem, because i use a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with software, downloaded from here: https://eblocker.org/eblockeros-download-2/ .
After first start of the Raspi with new flashed SD-card the initialisation runs and all steps are confirmed by "OK". But after some time the initialisation stops and request an eBlocker login.
The only question is, where can i get the login data.
This is not part of the linked manual.
Good evening 🙂
You don't need any monitor on the Raspi, you only need an additional PC/Tablet/Mobile to access the websites, which are now ready
1) Admin Console: http://eblocker.box:3000/settings/#!/login
2) Dashboard for every device: http://eblocker.box/dashboard/#!/main
(or replace eblocker.box with the ip adress, the device gets from the router)
From there you can access and configure your eblocker device 🙂
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Sven
But it is a good question..... How do we get the login user and password, so we can start using the Raspi for more than eblocker 🙂
It would be great if they were available.
Regards
Sven
Hello Sven,
thanks for the helpful hints.
In my opinion a login is necessay to continue. But the shown screen was the final state of the active eBlocker.
With your hint I got access to the eBlocker with the shown URL.
Best Regards
Rolf
In my opinion a login is necessay to continue.
Sorry, but thats complete nonsense. And your final success shows this as well. You had no login - and better we don‘t share it - reading your posts...
Thousands of users installed eBlocker without any issues. READING in mandatory for a successful install. RTFM is my last word on this. Sorry, but this make me really upset!
before you send impolite posts, you should read the history attentive.
I wrote, that with help of the first hint of calimero the problem could be solved.
eBlocker works now fine.
Only for comments like RTFM i do not ask a community.
But my mistake in the communication was the sentence "In my opinion a login is necessay to continue". It should have been better to wrote "I thought a login is necessay to continue".
But this is the complication of correspondence in a foreign language.
To my knowledge RTFM referrers to: Read The Fine Manual.
From my perspective @random tried really hard to help you. Asked to disconnect HDMI, helped to the exact page in the manual, was really patient (for a tech geek 😉 ).
Sorry, @rk200756 as a general rule for forums: Try to respect the rules. Try to RTFM. Be polite and respectful if long term members try to help you. And please read and respect the help.
I know people sometimes get "lost in translation" - and yes, I know @random has a short temper regarding "dumb questions". In this case, I feel he tried well - and stayed pretty polite - even though his help was simply ignored.
At least I feel your comment that @random "should read the history attentive." is not appropriate at all - especially with your personal "reading history". That is impolite!
Nevertheless: I'm happy you finally got everything working and hope you are happy now.
If not: please check the manual and read the forum first. This helps the core team to focus on the important tasks and move the project forward...
Remember: This is not a commercial support service. We are all volunteers (not getting a dime!) and we all love to help, but we certainly can not repeat everything...
