Hello,

is there a possibility to temporarily interrupt the connection to the Internet (not to the whole network) for single devices by a mouse click in the eBlocker (Pro Version)?

Thanks for info.

Yes, it's part of Parental Controls functionality in eBlocker Family. Upgrade your eBlocker Pro to eBlocker Family using the license key here (scroll down).

After upgrade go to settings "Parental Controls". Add a child user and assign the devices you want to disable to this user. In your eBlocker dashboard (you must be parent) you can now disable/re-enable Internet connection for the device(s) with just a click. Of course you can add more users. Each user "groups" a bunch of devices that can be disabled from Internet connection at once. You can have as many users as you need.

Of course you can set Internet times for each user as well, but this is not what you asked for 😉

@benne

Thanks, Benne,

has worked and I understood the principle.

My idea was that the device (including my own device that I was using at the moment) is not accessible from the outside (protection against attacks).

But this probably does not work with the Parental Controls functionality. This is not what it was designed for.

Maybe such an "Internet emergency stop" (incoming / outgoing) for your own device would be an idea for the future.

Greetings

@diko

eBlocker is not a general firewall at the moment (s. here https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/integrate-feodo-tracker-blocklist/#post-107)

But of course technically it can be done. Although the general concept is more of protecting your device not to send any data (un)purposely to unwanted third parties...

Please add a feature request to the Bugs & Features forum if you feel this should be part of eBlockers services and discuss this there...
