I work from home via VPN.
Does eBlocker affect this connection in any way?
@icho40 I‘m not really sure what you mean by „affect“.🤔 This depends on what you require very much… 😉
Anyway, if you are using a VPN client on your PC and the office VPN is configured to route all Internet communication via the office, then eBlocker can not decrypt the traffic - thus not block any trackers/ads etc. Btw: Same as if you are using a VPN for anonymizing your IP using a client (= not a good idea).
In case only the office communication is routed to the office, then eBlocker can do it‘s job on the remaining Internet traffic and work as usual.
If your office VPN is OpenVPN compatible I‘d suggest to add the VPN to eBlocker (not using a VPN client on PC). Then you can enable the VPN via the Dashboard and eBlocker will always work as usual even if all the Internet traffic is routed via VPN. This works smoothly to my knowledge. Note that one user (@facebita ) reported some Windows Remote Desktop issues using a mac (see here https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/eblocker-vpn-eblocker-annonymization/# ) Unfortunately we haven‘t heard back from this user, so personally I believe the cause is not eBlocker related.
Last: Please also consult the eBlocker knowledge base for more background how eBlocker VPN works.

@random Thank you for the answer.
I have a laptop that connects to my company network via VPN.
Only this laptop uses the VPN, all other devices are connected to the internet normally.
I wanted to know if eBlocker interferes or hinders this connection.

No. Just make sure a HTTPS Trusted App/Whitlist for the connection domain is defined in case certificate pinning is used in your office config.
Again, I want to point out to what‘s said above under „if your office VPN is OpenVPN compatible…“. This is the optimal configuration, so you get office connection and full eBlocker protection.
THX!
@icho40 To give you a clearer statement to your question.
YES it is interfering with your VPN if eblocker is enabled for this device and you do NOT have make the addition, @random mentioned in his post before!
I had the very same question/issue with my company device and eblocker enabled, as my system behaviour was very strange without the addition.
Regards
Sven

Well, as much as I appreciate your help @calimerO, this is not correct!
As I‘ve stated it depends whether the office VPN uses certificate pinning. My wife‘s employer does not use certificate pinning and eBlocker does not interfere at all with her office VPN, for instance. No whitelisting necessary!
