We are aware of a bug in the eBlockerOS 3.0.2 image for new installations that affects eBlocker's DNS server. A new installation of eBlockerOS might be not possible with this image.

To work around the bug simply skip the license agreement and deactivate the DNS Firewall. eBlockerOS can then be activated normally.

Users who updated from a previous eBlockerOS version are not affected as long as no Factory Reset is performed.

We've now suspended the image download temporarily and are working on a fix.

We are very sorry for the bug. 😥

As soon as the fix has been released we will update this post. Please stay tuned!

The DNS bug in the SD image for new installations has been found and fixed. 🥳 If the current tests are successful, we will release the eBlockerOS 3.0.3 image before the weekend. 🚀

Incidentally, the background to the bug is quite tricky and not directly related to us. 🤔 Rather, it is related to this report (in German only): https://www.heise.de/news/Verwirrend-Internet-Domain-fritz-box-zeigt-NFT-Galerie-statt-Router-Verwaltung-9610149.html

More detailed information in the next newsletter. 🥁 Subscribe at the bottom of the page.

We have just released the eBlockerOS 3.0.3 image for Raspberry Pi new installs which fixes the bug discussed above. 👍

New images for Banana Pi m2+ and Virtual Box as well as an update of all existing eBlockerOS users will follow next week.

Thanks for your patience🙏

Today we have released eBlockerOS 3.0.3 for all current users. The update will automatically take place if automatic daily updates are activated. Otherwise you can update via the user interface manually.

In addition we have provided new SD card images for Banana Pi m2+ (White Cube board) and Raspberry Pi for download in the download section of this website.

Still pending are new images for Virtual Box (and other VMs) as well as Boot PC. But you can use the 3.0.2 images together with the work-around discussed in the first post of this thread and then update to 3.0.3 via the user interface.👍

THX!

We've also just uploaded the 3.0.3 images for Virtual Box and Boot PC. 👍

Now all official images include the bugfix and should run smoothly. If not, please add to this thread.

THX!
