Hi, for my job i need to access some of the blocked trackers, but after changing Blocker settings and disabling trackers, if i reboot the eblocker this setting came back to enabled.
Is this a bug or an intended behavior?
eBlocker settings in Dashboard are individual per device/LAN adapter. So if your laptop has LAN and WLAN both interfaces are a different device from eBlocker‘s perspective. Maybe that‘s the source of your experience?
Otherwise please be more clear about your environment (see README FIRST) and state exactly how to reproduce.
THX!
@random thanks for your answer! here are some details:
- I'm running blocker 2.5.8 on a Raspberry Pi 4
- No https, no VPN, auto Network mode
- My system Safari + Mac 10.15.7 and also Firefox + Ubuntu 18
To reproduce:
1. Go to http://eblocker.box:3000/settings/#!/filter/details
2. Disable Trackers
3. Reboot the eblocker
4. Go back to http://eblocker.box:3000/settings/#!/filter/details and check if the setting is enabled again, as I would expect it to be disabled.
Can you reproduce it?
👍 I can reproduce the issue when disabling the Domain Tracker Blocker.
Disabling Pattern Tracker Blocker list works fine (settings survive reboot).
As not many people ever disable the list, it‘s a pretty god find!
@bpr Would you please take it to the bugtracker 😉
THX!
Thank you for reporting this. I have added an issue on GitHub:
https://github.com/eblocker/eblocker/issues/71
I hope we can fix this in the next release 2.6.
@bpr I have more issues related to this topic of lists management. Should I report them here or directly @ GitHub ?
@lcastrillo To share a bug with everyone the forum here is a good spot. Once the issue is confirmed (can be reproduced) it would be of great help if you add it to github directly.
THX very much!
