AVM | Fritz Repeater 1750E | Repeater | as LAN bridge |
Could somebody please explain what it means in the 'Compatibility Hardware list' that the repeater is "Manually compatible" and "as LAN bridge"?
Does it mean that the repeater is not compatible when simply used as a Wireless range-extender?
Thank you, Rob

This means that the repeater will work properly and is compatible with eBlocker only if it is set to „Bridge Mode“ and eBlocker is set to Individual Network mode.
Of course the repeater will still do it‘s job repeating and extending your WLAN range, but it can not connect wirelessly to your existing WLAN. This is due to poor implementation of AVM - there are better repeaters you might want to consider…

@robfranssen-fr To say it more simple: this repeater needs a LAN cable plugged in (aka Bridge Mode) and the Individual Network Mode must be set in eBlocker (according to the compatibility list). Then it should work and extend your WLAN.
Based on your screenshots (and assuming the compatibility list is correct) I’d suspect your current configuration is not gonna work. But your individual results may vary. 🤔
From my personal experience PowerLAN with Devolo repeaters is the best solution to extend WLAN range - resulting in low latency and high bandwidth.

Hm, my repeater 'repeats' but has never touched a LAN cable while in my possession. Your answer seems both cryptic and diplomatic while your assumption might just be a bit tricky. Doesn't mean i don't appreciate your effort to reply and the advice given.
Thank you, Rob

🤔 Does this mean the repeater (and all the clients connected to it) work well with eBlocker in your all wireless setup?
If yes, AVM might have improved their software meanwhile and we need to improve the compatibility list accordingly…

Indeed. With the settings shown in the screenshots, all devices - including those connected to the 1750E - work fine.
