Hello, sorry my english is not good...

I have a fritzbox 7590 with active parental controls and for some devices Internet is locked.

With the last Update of eblocker OS it doesn't work anymore.

The phone of my kid is not blocked with internet lock on fritzbox and active eblocker on this device.

If I disable eblocker then is the device blocked.

I hope you can understand my issue 🙂.

You can answer me on German or Italian.

Thanks to all 🙂

M.

I‘m not sure if I understand your question but this maybe helps: https://eblocker.org/docs/my-routers-parental-controls-no-longer-work/

and also

https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/fritzbox-internet-lock-internetsperre/#post-2111

To solve, better enable Parental Controls on eBlocker and stop using the function on fritzbox as eBlocker‘s protection is much superior.

I highly recommend using deepl.com for English translations (which also works with Italian) as the outcome is usually much better - and can easier be understood than school English. Give it a try…

THX!

Hello Random, thanks for the hint from deepl.com 🙂

so,
Up to version 2.6 I was able to use the Fritzbox:
block individual devices from the internet, and for our Synology NAS I configured a special filter that only allows OpenVPN through.
That means if the VPN connection is interrupted via the eBlocker then the NAS is not unprotected online.

Now with the 2.7.7 I noticed that it no longer works.
Locked out phones are still online with active eblocker.

The filter for my NAS is also useless.
I noticed this about ipleak.net

What can I do about it?

Up to version 2.6 I was able to use the Fritzbox:
block individual devices from the internet,

Then eBlocker was not configured correctly in the past for the devices in question - or the devices were switched off in eBlocker. You can‘t use both protections at the same time (fritz for blocking devices and eBlocker). Technically impossible. You can‘t drive in two cars in parallel either 🤔😉

Read what it says above (@random’s second link explains it all) and make sure you understand how eBlocker works!

@monic2 I agree 100% with @subscriber. eBlockerOS 2.7 was not changed in this regard.

You have two alternative options (to repeat again):

  1. Disable the devices (in eBlocker Settings>Devices) and use the inferior „protection“ of fritzbox.
  2. Enable the devices in eBlocker and use eBlocker‘s Parental Controls to set content and time restrictions for kids devices. And also use eBlocker Mobile to access devices in your network (via eBlocker’s OpenVPN server) including your NAS.

Please check the documentation for setup instructions.

Thank you very much for your help,
I will now exclude the son's phone from the eblocker and block it directly above the Fritzbox.

Attached is a screenshot of the filter that protected our NAS from an unprotected internet via eblocker VPN allocation.

It was like this:
Device->eblockerVPN->Fritzbox filter->protected internet
Device->eblockerVPN off (or killswitch)->Fritzbox filter-> NAS has no internet.

Now:
Device->eblockerVPN down or off->Fritzbox filter-> NAS with public IP in network.
KillSwitch also does not work anymore.

How can I prevent, if in eblocker the vpn connection breaks (without monitoring), that under NAS goes online unprotected?

I‘m not sure if I understood your question right, but searching the forum (see search on the right hand side) for „kill switch“ found this: https://eblocker.org/community/main-forum/kill-switch-when-vpn-connection-drops/#post-1272

Hope it helps.
