Hello!
Would it be possible to make a UEFI image for PC. I have excellently suited mini PCs: DELL WYSE 3040 2/8 GB and an Intel Intel Atom X5-Z8350 4/32 GB which only have UEFI bios and no option for legacy so that the current image does not start.
EDIT: These pc's have intern storage (eMMC) so my whish is a UEFI ISO to install there.
Dear CalimerO,
I have same idea, but the DELL WYSE 3040 have only 8 GB storage, this is not enough, can ignore but don't install till the end.
Intel Atom X5-Z8350 have 32 GB storage but proxmox will install, all steps passed, in the end it stops and nothing install.
Have experiment with extern usb storage, same as above.
@blockemall hi, for discussing your proxmox issues, it would be great, if you join my discord channel, even if it is pinned as german help 🙂

@blockemall Unfortunately I'm not a VM/PC specialist, but you might want to check out qemu.org and the corresponding tools for converting VM images. Maybe a regular boot image can be converted to an UEFI boot image?
Alternatively you might want to check the PC's BIOS to deactivate UEFI.
If you find a solution it would be great if you'd share it here for other users.
THX!
@random Here you'll find some information switching the Debian image base from legacy to uefi, but that won't be an easy thing
Switch Debian from legacy to UEFI boot mode (getreu.net)

@calimero Thanks very much, but unfortunately that's beyond my IT expertise.
Maybe someone else wants to pick this up or even @blockemall has sufficient tech background to DIY?
THX!
@calimero Switch Debian from legacy to UEFI boot mode is in our case not possible. We have an image, it can not boot as a live system to work on it.
@random sorry I'm not a IT freak but I do my best. I'll keep searching and report back here.
@blockemall If you can join the Discord channel, it would be much easier to communicate 🙂
How do we say in German?
Where there is a will, there is a way.
