Dear all,
after three years of happily using eBlocker I had to renew my https certificate. Easy peasy to do in eBlocker.
Renewed it, downloaded it to my iPad, went through the installation process.
Going into the dashboard I get an error message with the red !, that there is no certificate.
In my settings I see the new
eBlocker certificate added. I have redone the process, but must have made a mistake somewhere.
Maybe it helps to know that the newest certificate on Android 14 worked smoothly. So must be something ipadish.
Regards and keep up the good work.

@taipan Just click the red indicated area and make sure to follow the documentation closely.
Especially don't forget to grant certification authority trust to the newly added certificate (iOS>Settings>General>Certificate Trust Settings).
BTW seeing your screenshot above: It's not recommended using a blocking DNS (like nextDNS) as this renders eBlocker ineffective in certain ways. See also our blog article in this regard: https://eblocker.org/en/magazine/tips-and-tricks-for-eblockeros/
THX!
Hi Random,
thanks for the quick reply. And thanks for the hint with NextDNS. I am currently playing around with NextDNS when I am on the road. But from your answer I read, that the NextDNS setting is not causing the certificate issue, correct?
On my ipad I cannot find Settings-General-Certificate Trust Settings.
I see VPN&Device Management.
But I see something in Settings->General-> About. Never knew this existed. And here eblocker under
Enable Full Trust For Root Certiicates
is deactivated.
Now I activated it.
Checked the eblocker Dashboard and now it works. THANKS a lot, as always quick and helpful reply.
Keep up the good work...
