There are i.e. Firefox extensions like Privacy redirect existing that redirect certain pages to more privacy friendly alternatives.

Twitter -> Nitter

Youtube -> Invidious

Instagram -> Bibliogram

Google maps -> Openstreetmap

We can also think about redirecting certain search engines to more privacy oriented (i.e. Google -> Ducuduckgo).

Some other Privacy boxes already provide this functionality. It would be nice to see that also in eblocker!

@tuxxer Yes, I agree this can be an option for less privacy knowledgeable users.

But I feel like „forcing“ users to other services is not the best idea. So we might make this an option and also a dialog „Would you rather like to go to xyz“ is probably the way to go. 🤔
