In addition to the eBlocker, I have installed "AVG Internetsecurity". Irrespective of the fact that this software is intrusive, I fear that, similar to unfavorable Firefox settings (e.g. DNS via HTTPS not deactivated), some of the many options of the above-mentioned AVG software also restrict the functions of the eBlocker with superfluous settings. For example, is the antivirus function also superfluous and, if so, which ones?- In the hope that one or the other is familiar with the software 😥

@bastet good evening.
If I remember correctly, it should only affect the components of Web Browsing Protection that could get in conflict with eBlocker.
But you should only change things, if you notice problems filtering with the eBlocker.
Unless Random sees it differently 🙂
regards and merry xmas to all
@bastet There are known issues with other AV software as listed here: https://eblocker.org/en/compatibility/#software
I agree with @calimero that "network protection" features tapping into the TCP traffic might interfere. But individual results may vary.
Nevertheless, I would rather rethink your target in terms of "what are you expecting from AVG?". Personally I'm on Win and use the build in Defender for AV protection only, which works just fine. I don't see the need for other AV solutions as Defender is on top of the line anyhow.
Would be great if you could report back about your AVG experiences.
Happy Christmas. 🎄
