Dear community,

Today I experienced that the eBlocker Mobile function is not working anymore, which did on last Saturday, 27th of November 2021. I did not changed anything on the e-Blocker settings, neither on the Fritzbox 7590.

VPN settings is via e-Blocker server. No external VPN setup installed.

Did anybody else experienced similar behavior?

@bonycb

take a look at the settings in "eBlocker Mobile" menu. Is it switched ON ?

@bonycb Which DynDNS are you using? If eBlocker Mobile stops suddenly, there is usually a problem with your DynDNS provider.

Please share the OpenVPN log from your OpenVPN App that you use to connect to eBlocker Mobile to see more clear.

THX!

Good morning pio78,

yes, blocker is switched on in settings. That was the first thing I've checked prior starting this post.

Since still not working, I just did a reset of the eBlocker Mobile, reset the port sharing in my Fritzbox 7590 and started all new with new eBlocker Mobile settings and new port sharing in Fritzbox acc. to here: https://eblocker.org/docs/how-do-i-set-up-port-forwarding-on-the-router/ (test of connection in eBlocker was successful), added the new created eBlocker Mobile configuration for my iOS devices and imported them in OpenVPN (all old VPN configurations on my mobile devices have been deleted prior new setting).

Still not working. I'm a bit lost and I don't understand why it just stopped working without any chance in the configurations form my side.

Is there a change in the eBlocker DNS server that prevents OpenVPN for getting connected?

THX

Sorry, the eBlocker DynDNS service was down. Now it is up and running again.

I'd say no. But you can answer the question by checking the log yourself (in future). Log's are just text - and editable (if you feel some parts are "private")...

Regarding the eBlocker DNS: It's a demo and not meant for production. So you might want to switch DynDNS to a commercial service if your rely on eBlocker Mobile.

@bonycb Two-DNS (twodns.de) would be one, which is free for personal use with a maximum of 5 hostnames

Thanks for your prompt support!

@CalimerO

How is your experience with Two-DNS?

@bonycb I had no issues with TwoDNS so far, if it is what you wanted to know.

The every 30 days nagging like no-ip.com has, is not a problem with TwoDNS.
