I'll add all the diagnostic / configuration information if needed. First, I'd like to see if others are seeing problems sending RCS messages? I'm able to send if I pause but not with the blocker fully enabled.
Anyone else?
@jbrunerwa2 To my (very basic) knowledge of RCS the RCS servers are run by the mobile provider. I'd suspect the provider/RCS uses certificate pinning and can't handle eBlocker "in between" HTTPS communication.
To solve, you probably need to add the domains used for RCS to the HTTPS exemption list. You might want to check the manual recording for domains from your provider (while using RCS) and take it from there.

@random hadn’t thought of that. Question, if I’m connected via my mobile device via OpenVPN back the eblocker RCS works. Does the https/cert issue still make sense?
@jbrunerwa2 Once you connect to your eBlocker at home via OpenVPN everything should be blocked the same way as if you were at home.
Technically there is only one exception to this rule: HTTPS manual recording only works for devices in your WLAN/LAN (but not for OpenVPN connected devices). So make sure to run the manual recording for RCS when you are home (w/o VPN) and connected via WiFi.

@random I did the recording while at home on my LAN and created a trusted app/website for att.rcs.telephony.goog. Based on the name, it appears to be the RCS portal my carrier AT&T is using. I'm still unable to utilize RCS when I'm on my local LAN but can while using eblocker mobile? I've double checked that eblocker mobile is working (I can access my dashboard when not on the local LAN), and confirmed https is enabled via eblocker mobile and that I have the eblocker cert in place for my mobile device.
Any other ideas? I've never had a situation where I couldn't manually record, put in a trust entry and get an application working. I've also never had an application work one way but not the other. They usually are always blocked or always work.
I'm also wondering why the Auto Trust App isn't engaging and auto adding an entry. I haven't had to do manual recordings/excepts much since its implementation (which I'm thankful for).
I'd appreciate any other ideas.
@jbrunerwa2 Strange RCS works when using eBlocker Mobile but stops working when directly connected. Maybe RCS is by-passing VPN connections? Sorry, but this is the only "wild guess" I can come up with.
THX!
@random I appreciate the feedback. I still haven’t figured it out but will follow-up here if/when I do.
Updating the thread but unfortunately without a true solution. The tl;dr is that it's working after having an issue with RCS activation hanging on my phone and resolving it.
To get RCS re-enabled I had to go to the Google link below. After following the instructions to have RCS turned off for my phone, I re-enabled RCS in my iphone settings. Everything works now while being behind the eblocker on my local LAN and using eblocker mobile.
Unfortunately, I have no idea why?
@jbrunerwa2 Thanks very much for sharing the solution. 🙏
Honestly, I have no clue why Google comes into the game. 🤔 If you were on Android - I'd understand the connection as Android is very much tied into the Google-Universe. But you are on iOS and RCS is provided via AT&T. No Google involved. Really strange... 🤷
