Today a question not directly related to eBlocker. I run eBlocker on a Raspberry Pi 3. To avoid damages on eBlocker by power outage I have equiped my Pi with such a backup battery: https://www.rasppishop.de/Batterie-Pack-fuer-StromPi-v3
How can I check the state of charge of this battery whilest eBlocker is running?
@facebita It's usually not a problem if eBlockerOS is not shutdown properly i.e. in case of a power cut. As with every modern device it's recommended to shutdown eBlocker by software only - but if not, eBlocker will recover itself in 99,999999% of the cases. There is no need to worry.
And if there is a power cut, the Internet access will not be working either. So keeping eBlocker up and running while Internet is down does not make much sense to me either.
Honestly, I see no gain for the battery pack and would not invest time/money into this as power interrupts are super rare in German spoken countries.
Check this out for the facts & risk calculation for Germany:
If I were you, I'd rather invest the money for a Raspi 4 - which delivers much gain, for sure... 👍
