I have to replace a Fritzbox 7490 with a new Fritzbox 7690. Should I configure both devices as before in the combination with the Fritzbox 7490, especially regarding DHCP server settings?
What is the most appropriate configuration of eBlocker in combination with the Fritzbox 7690?
@facebita To my knowledge there are no specific Fritzbox 7690 settings necessary.
If eBlockerOS is set to run the DHCP server, the DHCP server on the router needs to be de-activated (see https://eblocker.org/en/docs/dhcp-server-there-can-only-be-one/ )
In general it's a good idea to keep the same setting as with your previous router. Maybe you can even use a backed up configuration as it's both Fritzbox?
Nevertheless, if you run into problems don't hesitate to drop a post here. I'm happy to help 👍

Does it mean, I could run the DHCP server on Fritzbox but not on eBlocker, so that, if eBlocker accidentally stops working e.g. by SD card failure, my WLAN wouldn’t be affected?
@facebita With your Fritzbox 7490 it was mandatory (due to a Fritzbox bug) to switch eBlocker to Individual Network Mode. In this mode eBlocker runs the DHCP and it's required to disable the DHCP server on the router.
If the DHCP server fails your devices will work until the TTL (Time To Live) of the DHCP server expires. After expiration the devices start requesting IP/Gateway addresses via DHCP. If there is no DHCP server the devices can't route to the router - hence there is "no Internet".
BTW: We recommend using Individual Network Mode for stability reasons anyway. See the Setup Instructions for more.

I have installed my eBlocker from the scratch. Then I have installed the HTTPS certificate onto my Mac via Safari an additionally in Firefox and as well onto my iPhone. But obviously I did something wrong. If eBlocker is activated I can not connect for instance eblocker.de or my NextCloud at www.glombit.de. I get failure messages like these ones:
SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG
SSL_ERROR_UNRECOGNIZED_NAME_ALERT
What did I made wrong?
I have not enabled the DHCP server at eBlocker, but use instead the DHCP server at Fritzbox 7690.
As soon as I in the eBlocker dashboard halt the eBlocker all websites are connectable.
@facebita Before we start guessing, I'd appreciate if you could share all the info asked here: https://eblocker.org/community/announcements/before-posting-here-please-read/#post-117
And the better you describe what's happening and support this by screenshots the better we can help. I.e. are other domains but yours working well? Is the error reproducible or is it working sometimes ok? Is the error affecting all devices or only you Mac? etc. etc...
Last: Even if I repeat myself: For stability reason it's not recommended to run DHCP on the router. I highly recommend to change this first.

[Do not] run DHCP on the router. I highly recommend to change this first.
I did it first. And all the problems seem to be away.
In Germany we have a saying: Never praise the day before evening. But I am in good faith, that switching the DHCP server has solved the problem. So therefore, it's obviously not only an issue of the Fritzbox 7490.
