Hello, is there a way to export the device listing to csv or html? I have a quite huge list growing over the past years.

Client OS
Browser
eBlocker hardware
Client OS version
Browser version
eBlockerOS version

@mr-bien Hi.

The fastest and easiest way for me to do this is the following:

1) Download diagnostic report from your eblocker

2) Open the eblocker-diagnostics-report.zip\eblocker-diagnostics-report\devices.json file

3) Paste it to https://jsontoexcel.org

4) Save your Excel file

regards

@mr-bien I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve with csv/html of the devices. 🤔

Devices and their settings are backed up using the eBlocker backup function - and they will be restored from backup as well.

THX!

I knew that someone would ask for the use case I have in mind, @random. 😉

Well, I am thinking about moving DHCP responsibility away from eBlocker. Getting an extract for the devices managed by eBlocker, for example, for an automated import to another machine, makes a lot of sense to me. Hopefully I can automate this somehow. But anyway, having a list in Excel is nice for that purpose.

I am thinking about moving DHCP responsibility away from eBlocker.

Keep in mind, that eBlockerOS' DHCP is handling devices intelligently and differently to a regular DHCP. For instance, if you disable a device eBlocker's DHCP routes the traffic straight to your gateway (saving interface bandwidth and hops).

Nevertheless, make sure you can set the gateway in an external DHCP to eBlocker's IP and disable IPv6 on the router. Otherwise traffic might be by-passing eBlocker - leaving you unprotected.

You'll learn your lesson for sure. Good luck. 🍀

THX!

@random, honestly, I would be glad if I could stick to the current assignment of DHCP to eBlocker. Works very good "since ages" and I like it. Anyway, I am thinking of migrating my LAN to Ubiquity devices, integrating also a Dream Machine. In order to take advantage of the UDMs capabilities, it seems that I should shift the DHCP control (and all the static IP-address assignments coming along with it) to the UDM. This is at least my current state of investigation.

Also, my favorite AI says it should be no problem to integrate eBlocker-DNS/Filtering with UDM 😀
