Issue: eBlocker does not recognise traffic from second FritzBox.
Question: How do I configure the Fritz4060 so the traffic is sent through eBlocker, as with the TPLink.
Current setup which works:
Internet-FritzBoxISP-eblocker
-Tplink WLAN Router
TPLink Router and eblocker are both connected via LAN to the FritzBox.
TP Link is not in a mesh or so setup. It uses a different subnet. EBlocker recognises it. I can configure eblocker for this device and this setting is applicable to all devices connected to TPLink, as desired.
TPLink and FritzBox have their own WLANs, so I can connect my devices to the WLAN of the FritzBox and eBlocker recognises them. As desired.
Now: My TPLink is old and slow and sends data to a TPLink server in the internet every 17 seconds.
Hence I wanted to replace it with a FritzBox 4060 with exactly the same functionality.
Setup which does not work as hoped:
Internet-FritzBoxISP-eblocker
-FritzBox 4060 WLAN Router
I connected it via cable to the ISP Fritz, as with the TPLink. I tried two modes.
1a. Connected via Fritz4060 setting „Cable modem“ to the internet. It gives me the same IP as the FritzISP 192.168.178.1. Hence I cannot access the FritzISP or eblocker.
Result: I connect to the internet but eblocker does not block anything. It shows the Fritz4060 with an ip. eBlocker sees this as well. I activate eblocker for this IP, enable VPN. It has no effect.
1b. I change the IP Address range (192.168.168./8) to a different subnet.
Result: I can access the internet. Again, eblocker and FritzISP see the Fritz4060. I configured eblocker for this device. VPN; etc. No effect. Traffic is not send through eblocker.
2. I changed Fritz4060 to IP Client mode.
Result: The Fritz4060 is completely useless. I cant even access the GUI being connected to the WLAN of Fritz4060. I need to use the emergency IP 169.254.1.1. to reset it.
Question: How do I configure the Fritz4060 so the traffic is sent through eBlocker, as with the TPLink.

Regards and thanks a lot.
@taipan You might want to direct your question to a Fritzbox forum, as this is a very specific network config question for your router - not related to eBlocker.
The only hint I have: if you want the devices conneted to the 4060 to be individually protected, eBlocker and the devices need to be in the same logical IP subnet. So connect the 4060 not via the WAN port to your network, but usa a regular LAN port. Make sure the 4060 has a static IP within your subnet and it‘s not running a DHCP server.
THX!
@random Thanks again for your quick reply. I guessed it might be too specific but thought I give it a try anyway. And you provided me with another option to test, thanks for this.
I actually want that all devices connect via 4060 and eblocker only sees the 4060. As with my TP-Link. It allows me to have one VPN, one blocking list etc. for all my devices. On occasions, when I want to circumvent this, I can connect directly to my FritzISP.
@taipan Sorry, but this is off topic for this forum and not related to eBlocker. So from our end I consider this topic solved.
I suggest you get help from a network & fritzbox professional for this very unique setup (which from my perspective makes no sense as you loose the eBlocker advantage to control each device individually).
THX!
