Hi all
a quick one. I saw https://app-measurement.com/sdk-exp in my personal device firewall.
Not app-measurement.com or any other domain name.
What does this mean? It looks so different from all other entries. Can I block it the same way?
I saw https://app-measurement.com/sdk-exp in my personal device firewall.
Please take a screenshot of this and share.
THX!
@random It just happened today and the first time in eblocker. I reset it to test some other stuff. Sorry, no screenshot.
@taipan Well then, I can't help unfortunately.
What you describe sounds „strange“ as the PDFW considers domains only (not URLs). But of course a rare bug can cause strange effects and is not impossibe😉
Please take a screenshot next time you come up with "strange phenomena". Otherwise it's like with UFOs - many people believe they have seen some - but there is no hard evidence to follow...🛸😉
I consider this topic solved and will gladly mark it unsolved again if someone finds a proof and it can be reproduced in future.
THX!
@random fair enough. When I see it again, I will take a screenshot. I have seen this before, rarely but sometimes, in AdGuard Pro on another device. It seems some app does cause this but I dont know which one. I will try… Thanks anyway.
@taipan You‘ve heard this already: Adding more tools does not help more, but helps interferences between tools. Same as mixing Diesel and Gas. I take my consequences not to stumble again again and again over your bizarr mixes: I leave your requests to someone else…
THX!
@random well, I am removing tools, step by step since blocker becomes more and more useful.
I have seen this before, rarely but sometimes, in AdGuard Pro on another device.
In this case, I have seen this "before", but very rarely, in AdGuard. I hardly use AdGuard when at home behind eBlocker. And anyway, more and more of my devices become more private, e.g. GrapheneOS. When it appears in eblocker again I take a screenshot. Sorry for wasting your time. I really appreciate the efforts and time you spend for this device. In your spare time.
@robfranssen-fr @taipan I fear unless you can help how to reproduce this, there will be no further investigation. Personally I‘d rate this a display glitch - maybe due to parallel usage of adguard again - but I‘m not a dev either.
THX!
Just for info: when you ask the internet, it is also found in other products and seem to be a wrong implementation in the firebase sdk. So nothing special from eblocker -> Can't add https://app-measurement.com/sdk-exp to blocking list - Help - Pi-hole Userspace and iOS Firebase configuration generates network activity - Stack Overflow
This seem also to be an "ios app" issue, as far as I can see
Like in every part of life and the whole world: every question has at least asked be once... so go out and look for it first, before diggin into deep and waste time 🙂
