Hello,
this is my first post here but i have been using Eblocker for a while now how but i can't figure out a small issue i'm having :
My network is as follows :
Modem (bridge mode)->Ubiquiti router->Switch->Eblocker.
Router : 192.168.1.1 (Eblocker IP put in here as DNS1, DNS2 has a bogus IP 192.192.192.192)
Eblocker : 192.168.1.2
Switch : 192.168.1.6
Eblocker is set as DNS in the router and it works, however i got some issues and just let me pick one the kids keep nagging about.
There's a game called 'AFK Arena'. This game works when HTTPS is deactivated but as soon as it's activated they are unable to login. I already read through here and found the 'record function' which i tried and it came up with : hgame-cdn.lilithgame.com
I went to 'trusted apps' and added it there yet that doesn't solve the issue.
Is there any other way to fix this, and other issues i'm experiencing.
For myself i just disable/enable HTTPS but fo the kids... Not an option.
There are some issues in other games also but just trying to find out how to troubleshoot this one so i can apply it to others.
Usually most issues with apps get fixed automatically, if you enable the Auto Trust App (in HTTPS>Trusted Apps). Just run the game a couple of times with ATA enabled - it might work 😉
Thanks for the replies,
The main issue is that it's spread among devices, Android/Windows/Mac/Ipad/Iphones/Linux/ESXI Hosts etc etc.. (Yes i did find out i can monitor the recording results on just 1 machine now).
And yes where i thought in the case of 'AFK Arena' where it would be just 4 or 5 hosts it turned out to be a massive 20 or so.
However after adding the domains it worked fine.. However a new issue occured.. This morning Eblocker became unresponsive? I wasn't able to log into the device anymore (192.168.1.2) yes i was able to ping it so it was still on, i had to pull the power and restart it.. here's a link to diagnostics :
removed link
My guess would be that it has something to do with this :
2022-01-02 09:00:41,195 [ERROR] 61970d2b org.eblocker.server.http.server.ExceptionLogger [defaultEventExecutorGroup-4-7] - Returning 500 Internal Server Error for GET removed link caused by java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
This happened before mostly after adding new blocklists and such but never paid that much attention to it. I always assumed i did something wrong/lists not compatible and just disabled/removed them after a restart.
However after adding the domains it worked fine.
It would be great if you could share these domains so we can create a pre-defined Trusted App for other users.

Please send to support at eBlocker.org. Forum software auto removes links from new users - which is good as the logs may contain sensitive data… (see readme)
after adding new blocklists
Please share blocklists you have added so we can try to reproduce. Huge lists might take up (too) much space?
THX!
Thanks for the quick replies!
Slowly but surely i'm filtering out issues (like amazon app not showing pages 'something went wrong' i still have to take a look at). But i'm getting there with the 'manual record' function.
Yesterday i 'fixed' another PC game called 'Anthem' where it needs a bunch of Biowareonline.com hosts added, i think i fixed most of the AFK Arena stuff for now (believe forums aren't working still).
I will email the logs to support at eblocker.org (Just did).
I used the following blocklist : https://oisd.nl/?p=dl (OISD (dot) nl incase it deletes the links again)
And where would i put the extra trusted apps information?
Both need to be added to Origin (soon EA Play).
For AFK Arena : (Not yet complete missing forum/community).
lilithgame.com
lilithcdn.com

Often there is no need to manually record but you can rather use a pre-defined Trusted App (there is one for amazon for instance). In any case, I highly recommend to enable the Auto Trust App which does the recording/adding for you.

Could you please be more specific which of the lists you have added - and how. Screenshot where you've added it will do.

There is a specific thread pinned in the forum for this purpose: https://eblocker.org/community/main-forum/trusted-apps-community-user-recommendations/#post-5043

For a quick answer for the blocklist : dbl.oisd.nl/basic/ i used the basic, there's also a full one but since basic already made the device unresponsive (and it was the last thing i changed) i decided not to try it.
It seems i already had the 'auto trust app' feature enabled but it didn't do it's job then, still doesn't because Amazon app on android devices isn't working properly.

Have you added the list as Pattern Blocker or Domain Blocker or both (see my question for a screenshot above)?
Which Raspi model (in detail) are you using?
THX!

Hey, using the RPI3 model B+ 4GB with a Transcend 16GB SD.
And yes i saw the other post also, so i need to add this to the bottom half of the lists when using HTTPS if i got it right, i was confused there because it said it was being used by the devices.
Also i noticed something is still being blocked in the default 'Discord app' under trusted apps since i can't connect with voice when eblocker is enabled.

What does this mean „bottom half of lists“? I‘m lost in translation, I fear. Sorry.

If the Auto Trust App is enabled, eBlocker will usually fix most app communication problems.
Otherwise you might need to do a manual recording and add the domains individually to a trusted app. Once it works, please share results here: https://eblocker.org/community/main-forum/trusted-apps-community-user-recommendations/#
THX!
Auto recording/trusted apps nor https 'communication failures' didn't show these addresses.
I got these through resource management in windows.
