Hello,

unfortunately the VPN connection does not work.

I have tried several recommended providers (NordVpn, Hide.me).  I get always the same error message. A connection to Tor is possible without any problems.

Error Message:

Sat Feb 26 10:09:37 2022 NOTE: the current --script-security setting may allow this configuration to call user-defined scripts

Can someone help me ?

eBlocker hardware

Yes, I downloaded and imported the OVPN. I tried UDP and TCP, it doesn't work.

@corepro 🤔 … Which VPN service is this? Can you connect to this VPN service using a native OpenVPN client (same file!)?

THX!

This is the Hide.me VPN Service.  It works with the Windows client.

@corepro No idea. 🤔

Could you please send the Diagnosis Report (Settings> System> Diagnosis) - and also the openVPN file - to support at eBlocker.org.

THX!

@corepro

Thank you for the diagnostics report and OpenVPN config file.

I tried the config file on both my eBlocker and on macOS. But the server does not answer to the TLS handshake connection attempts by the client. No UDP packets are coming back from the server. Running OpenVPN with "verb 6" I see only UDP WRITEs, but no READs:

2022-03-01 14:02:20 us=514157 UDP WRITE [14] to [AF_INET]185.232.23.186:3000: P_CONTROL_HARD_RESET_CLIENT_V2 kid=0 [ ] pid=0 DATA len=0

2022-03-01 14:02:29 us=8308 UDP WRITE [14] to [AF_INET]185.232.23.186:3000: P_CONTROL_HARD_RESET_CLIENT_V2 kid=0 [ ] pid=0 DATA len=0

2022-03-01 14:02:45 us=65891 UDP WRITE [14] to [AF_INET]185.232.23.186:3000: P_CONTROL_HARD_RESET_CLIENT_V2 kid=0 [ ] pid=0 DATA len=0

2022-03-01 14:03:14 us=136320 TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)

2022-03-01 14:03:14 us=136348 TLS Error: TLS handshake failed

Are you sure that the server name and port number in the configuration line "remote ..." are correct?

Could you try other servers from hide.me? Do they provide other ports for OpenVPN?

This is the Hide.me VPN Service.  It works with the Windows client.

@corepro Just to to add and to clarify @bpr‘s post. The openVPN file you emailed to us is not working. This is completely independent of eBlocker. It seems to us, that the file you are using with the Windows client is not the one you have emailed to us. 🤔

Please make sure the openvpn file works in a regular openvpn client first before adding it to eBlocker…

THX!

@corepro Unfortunately we have not received any feedback from you. I assume you have solved your issue meanwhile and marked this thread solved.

In case my assumption is wrong, I’m happy to help and re-open the topic again.

Nevertheless, it‘s considered a „good move“ if you‘d share the solution you‘ve found, so other users with similar questions can profit from it, too.

THX!
