Hello All,
I have a Gigabit / 1,000 Mbit/s internet connection (which also arrives at 1100/55Mbit brutto). In order to get around the hardware LAN limit of the RP4 of 1000Mbit/s, I would like to run the eblocker "on a boot PC directly without OS" on a ThinClient PC with a 2.5Gbit LAN connection. To extend the download rate via the eblocker.  Can you please tell me whether this increases the maximum download speed of the eblocker (at the moment I have a download speed of around 450Mbit, when the eblocker/RP4 works as a gateway. Is there any hardware that has already been tested with a 2.5Gbit interface or can I use (almost) any normal ITX/thin client PC?
Thank you very much for your support

Yes, very probable.

You can use any PC fulfilling the requirements. See the corresponding blog post,

Thank you for your quick reply:-)

I bought an Intel mini PC. I put the eBlocker image on the USB stick or/and on the internal SSD with BalenaEtcher. Unfortunately, the image does not boot from the SSD or USB stick. I changed the boot setup accordingly. Could it be that the INTEL Alder Lake CPU is too new for the Eblocker image?? I tried to use the VM image on Windows 11 (it was pre-installed), that worked well. Unfortunately, Windows now always has to run 🙁

MiniPC: BOSGAME B100 Mini PC, Intel 12th Alder Lake-N100, 16GB DDR4 RAM 512GB SSD, USB3.2 / 2500Mbps Ethernet (default OS Win11)

Are you sure that you have downloaded the correct image for PCs and written it correctly using Balena?

Unfortunately, the image does not boot from the SSD or USB stick.

What's the error message you are getting? Screenshot would be helpful.

It this mini-PC UEFI boot only? Then you might find this helpful https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/uefi-for-pc-eblockeros/#post-7190

THX!

There is no error massage, after power on or "save and exit in the Bios" the system starts directly in the bios.

Is this mini-PC UEFI boot only?.....No UEFI is not neccessary, I also deactivadet UEFI in the bios.
