Hello together,

I set up the eBlocker for a friend and now have the problem that I cannot save the https-certificate in Firefox. Apple's browser accepts the certificate without any problems. Could it be that some addons can cause problems here? In my opinion, it cannot be due to the antivirus program, because then it should not work under Safari.

Any ideas?? -Thanks!

Client OS
Browser
eBlocker hardware
Client OS version
Browser version
eBlockerOS version

I cannot save the https-certificate in Firefox

What does this exactly mean?

  1. When you are in the dashboard and click on "Add certificate" the certificates does not get saved to a file (ending .crt) when using Firefox?
  2. Same as 1. but using the HTTPS Wizard in the eBlocker Settings?
  3. Certificate import in Firefox fails when using the "Import" function in the firefox certificate manager on the .crt file?

Screenshots are great - especially of the error you are getting... Also you might want to share the .crt file for verification (it's a public key anyway, so no worries).

All I can say: Firefox works great with eBlocker certificates - no matter if you are using macOS or Windows.

THX!

@random The import in Firefox fails because it says that I don´t have the private key as you can see in the sreenshot. In my personal Mac with my eBlocker it is going all well with Firefox but on the Mac of my friend it doesn´t work - I don´t know why (he has of course his own eBlocker, its not my eBlocker).

Interesting point: on my device in Firefox the certificate is not listet and eBlocker is working well there - the certificate is installed in the system...

@simon Click tab „Authorities“ (German: „Zertifizierungsstellen“) then „Import“ and it will work…

BTW: Reading and following the documentation closely is usually a good idea: https://eblocker.org/docs/how-to-add-the-eblocker-certificate-in-firefox-cliqz-and-seamonkey/#2-toc-title
