Hello, I have the following problem and I can not classify who to contact with it:

My eblocker is running fine so far.
An eblocker certificate for https pages is installed.
I can access all the websites I want to visit without any problems.

I use a new Foscam camera and would like to access the cloud of Foscam. When I go to the site https://www.myfoscam.com and log in, I get a message that to use the service a plugin must be installed (fscloud.pkg).

But as soon as I install this plugin suddenly I am not able to visit any websites anymore, because I get a message that almost all websites are not trustworthy. (via Safari browser, latest version).

Only the reinstallation of the eblocker certificate solves this problem. However, I then get on the Foscam page again indicated that I have to install a plugin...

What is this all about? Who is the right contact for me: eblocker or Foscam? I had already contacted Foscam and I have the impression that they didn't know what it's all about. According to them I am the only user who has this problem...

Do you have any ideas? Thanks for Help.

@zwergkralle Unfortunately, I have no idea about macOS and what kind of plugin you are talking about.

Nevertheless, I would guess that the camera software (plugin?) uses certificate pinning. To verify if they use certificate pinning you could install the camera plugin, disable eBlocker HTTPS for your macOS device and try if it works. Then re-enable eBlocker HTTPS again.

If they use certificate pinning there are three solution approaches (sorted by easiest to more tech know how):

  1. Enable the Auto Trust App (ATA) and try the plugin a couple of times. Usually the ATA automatically adds the needed domains to the HTTPS whitelist. See here https://eblocker.org/docs/trusted-apps/#auto-trust-app
  2. Ask the camera vendor which domains are accessed by the plugin and put those domains on the HTTPS whitelist. (Settings>HTTPS>Trusted Websites)
  3. Manually record the HTTPS handshake and find the relevant domains yourself https://eblocker.org/docs/manual-recording/

Good luck.

THX!
